Calling All Green Thumbs

EDIT::::
Thanks to my friend Shannon, she helped to identify this plant as an Epiphylum species in the Cacti Family. It's common names are Orchid Cactus and Leaf Cactus. This is the bloom that just kept getting more and more amazing! There was also a wet drip coming from the bottom of the bloom, you can see this in the above picture. This is definitely flower nectar because it tasted as sweet as sugar, I sampled it.

Good day to you!
Can anyone tell me what
the heck kind of plant I have
in the following photos?

It was given to me by a co-worker
and I have been growing it
in a full sun south facing window.
This is the first time it has ever bloomed!
These flowers are so amazing.
I think it is a succulent and it
has small spines.
Your help with its identification
would be mutch appreciated.

And two more blooms to come.
I am thrilled with this plant.

In other news....
I was featured on the front page
of ETSY with this
Copper Saddle Ring
BOY HOWDY!

Enjoy your day,

Off Season in Montana

This is a particularly strange time amongst our seasonal changes. You can still ski, but it's corn, you can bike but it's mud unless you drive, and forget hiking unless you like mud and widening the trail? And don't plant the garden yet! You may want to, but it won't work. As many of you know, it is okay to plant cold season crops when the ground is workable. Well my friends, don't plant before May 1st in Bozeman, your crops will freeze. So the Husband and I are doing what we can to get outside to smear fat. We skiied on Saturday and biked on Sunday. I am now embracing this odd springtime weather. Our trip to Mexico helped scratch my itchy spring fever feet, but just a bit.

The anticipation is torture.
Tomorrow morning we travel
to the Southern Baja Coast of Mexico.
The bikini, flip flops, snorkel gear,
summer dresses, heels,
shades, jewelry and sunscreen
are all packed up.
All this Spanish practice is
going to come in real handy.
I really enjoy speaking Spanish in Mexico,
and I can't wait for 80 degree temps,
Negra Modelo con limon,
and Hibiscus bushes.

The Cat's Out of the Bag

Yes, Folks, the gig is up.
Jen and Jeremy are engaged to be married!
They are good friends and a great couple,
CONTRATULATIONS!
You will now both enjoy the beginnings
of marital bliss.
Oh goody,
it does come in so many forms.

Jeremy commissioned a custom
engagement ring.
Together we brainstormed ideas,
taking into consideration Jen's taste
in jewelry.
I already know what she likes,
she has quite a little
Bisquit collection.
So I began with sketches and ideas
in mid-November.

Jeremy picked out two initially,
but when Jen found there were
three to be had,
Jen had to have them all.
What a peach she is.
The stress and work was difficult,
I had to up my skills for an engagement ring,
but the results are sweet.
Thank you both for appreciating them
and giving them all three a home.
I am flattered and humbled.
Thank you times 1000!

Thanks you so much,
I am tickled pink.

Tonight we are headed to a bad sweater
Christmas party, I will definitely have some pictures.

Merry Christmas,
Kristin Lee
